Fire Emblem: Awakening is a tactical RPG released for the Nintendo 3DS in 2013 that tells the story of Chrom, prince of the continent of Ylisse, and his merry band of misfits who are, of course, tasked with saving the world. The player takes on the role of a customizable Avatar (with a default name of "Robin," though I'll be referring to him/her as the Avatar throughout this site), who Chrom finds one day passed out in a field with no memory. The Avatar goes on to serve as the tactician for Chrom's small army called The Shepherds, who end up going from protecting villages from bandits to fighting forces that threaten to destroy the world.

What makes Awakening unique is the fact that Chrom and co. get a view of the bleak future that awaits if they don't save the world, a message delivered by their future children. The game gives you the ability to pair up certain characters and recruit their children, who travel back in time to make sure their parents stop the resurrection of the Fell Dragon Grima, who has left their future a wasteland of despair.

Cherche, star of this site, makes her first appearance in Chapter 12: The Seacomers. She is introduced as a servant of House Virion, the rulers of the small nation of Rosanne on the continent of Valm. She and her master, Virion, come to Chrom to explain their plight and pass along a warning. Cherche explains that she and Virion fled Rosanne because their nation was invaded by the Emperor of Valm, Walhart the Conqueror. They have come to warn Prince Chrom that Walhart intends to conquer Ylisse's ally, Ferox, next...
